5 Things God remembers about His Children

God has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. (Psalm 105:8,KJV)

Oh, the ever forgetful me! I tend to forget everything these days from keys to kids, and this recent incident topped it off. I went to the store the other day to buy some clothes, and was standing at the checkout when I realized my handbag is not with me.

I traced back to every area I walked in the store, and frantically looked around for my handbag. I found it finally all the back in the fitting room untouched by anyone else in the corner.

–Do you know our Lord Jesus is not forgetful like us?

He is not overwhelmed, and flustered by the constant prayers, and petitions rising up to Him from His children.

He does not say,” Sorry Diana, I totally forgot about you in the fitting room in the pile of other worries and needs”

GOD REMEMBERS HIS CHILDREN :

He is the God who remembered Noah before the flood and after  the flood. Genesis 8:1

Noah was in the ark with his family and all the animals for 40 days and nights. Imagine the screeches, roars, stinks and the suffocations he went through. God didn’t forget Noah those the ordeal.

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

He is the God who remembered Sarah, Rachel, and Hannah, and blessed their empty womb (Genesis 30:22)

Sarah was close to a hundred years old when the Lord remembered her. Can you believe waiting faithfully knowing fully well God won’t forget her?

And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

God remembers me

Devotional : 5 Characteristics of a woman who wrestles with God

He is the God who remembered the promise and heard the groaning of His children who were mistreated as slaves (Exodus 2:24)

God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.

He is the God who remembered Joseph from the pit to the palace. Genesis 39:2

The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

He is the God who remembered Jacob at Bethel as Jacob ran from his brother (Genesis 28:15)

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. (Genesis 28:15,KJV)

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; ) Deuteronomy 7:9,KJV)

Loved and ever remembered by God

He remembers you and I, and knows us by our name. A mother can never forget her children, but even if she does, the Good Lord says that He will never ever forget us.

God has a grip on us , even when we let go of our grip on Him.

Today, you may feel as if no one remembers you. Your friends have departed you , your families have forgotten how you were there for them.

The cup bearer whom Joseph helped by interpreting his dreams forgot the latter, but the Lord had great plans for Joseph. He took Joseph from the pit to the palace.

He has great plans for you too.

HOW TO FIND PERFECT PEACE WHEN YOU FACE THE STORMS IN YOUR LIFE

God hasn’t forgotten your toils and turmoil , your empty womb and your gloom, nor your tears and trials.

My Friend, God remembers every promise He has made towards you. He has carved your name in the palm of His nail pierced Hand.

Lord Remembers His children

Here are 5 things God remembers His children:

1.God remembers his children in their humiliation , and deep groaning .

It is He who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever; Psalm 136:23, esv

And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. Exodus 2:24, kjv

2.God remembers and knows our frame (Psalm 103:14)

For he knows our frame; God remembers that we are dust.

The Lord knows the very frame of our life, the frailty of our conditions. Yet He remembers us and wraps us under His wings.

   3. GOD remembers us when we are abandoned by our own family.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Isaiah 49 : 15, Kjv

4.He remembers our good works, and the love we have shown towards His name

For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.( Hebrews 6:10, NLT)

One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed. Proverbs 19:17

5.God remembers His covenant to a thousand generation.

He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,(Psalm 105:8)

But the loving kindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, Psalm 103:17

Oh, I hate it when I leave things. I left my handbag in the shopping cart once — in the parking lot of the store! Can you believe I returned it to the little shopping-buggy corral without even noticing my bag was still in there? Glad to know I’m not the only one. 🙂 And, like you, I’m so grateful for a God who has no memories problems — who remembers me because He loves me. How often do we take that for granted? — Thanks for sharing with #ChasingCommunity today. Nice to connect. ((sweet graces))
