7 TIMELESS VERSES WHERE GOD PROMISES TO CARRY US

The Bible gives us ample reassurances that God promises to carry us.

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart; He gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11

How God promised to carry me :

Couple of months ago, my children saw my stretch marks and asked me, “what is that, Mama?” I have been so busy with my triplets that I had forgotten about these warrior scars, so I told them how I carried them all in my belly- ALL THREE AT ONCE.

I recalled how the concerned high risk specialist told me to reduce at least one or even two ,and how I politely declined with a reply that I prayed and fasted for these children of mine.

No matter the outcome, God knew what He was blessing me with and  I prayerfully chose to carry my children despite the risks the doctors laid out in front of me.

I prayed in the car after the visit, and told the Lord about what the doctors warned me.

The Lord strengthened me during my contractions at 21 weeks by saying, “Diana, you carry your triplets, and I will carry all four of you close to MY HEART.”

I went into labor at 26 weeks, and via emergency C section delivered my micro preemies.  They weighed a pound and couple of ounces each.

God’s promise to me was and is still – THE TRIUNE GOD WILL SURELY CARRY MY TRIPLETS.

Our friends and families may get tired of us, but God promises to carry us until the very end. His shoulders are broad enough to carry our brokenness, and burdens.

Dear Friend, did you know that just as a mama carries her children in her womb and heart ,God promises to carry us all too?

Do we trust God will take care of us when our hairs turn grey, and our bones become fragile?

Do we have that unwavering faith to know that this same God who carried our parents will carry us and our next generation close to His heart?

Let us look at the 7 Timeless Verses where GOD promises to CARRY US :

1.      God carries our little ones close to His Heart, gently leads us :

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart; He gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11

God will carry

2.       He promises to carry us when we are sorrowful and distressed:

In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them.
In his love and mercy he redeemed them, He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. Isaiah 63:9

3.      God carries us when we are weak  ,fights our battles for us ,and sustains us with His goodness :

and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place. Deuteronomy 1:31

4.      When we fall and cannot carry on anymore, God promises to carry us on His shoulders:

As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, He spread abroad His wings and He took them, He bore them on His pinions. Deuteronomy 32 :11

5.     The Lord promises to sustain us, and rescue us in times of our helplessness.

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Isaiah 46:4

6.     We have been assigned angels to lift us away from dangers.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:11-12

7.      He carries us in the very palm of His strong hand and helps us confront our fears.

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you Isaiah 41:13

Our Good Shepherd holds us in the very palm of His nail pierced Hand, and we are very precious to Him.

This Abba Father promises to carry us-young and old for the remaining days or years on this earth, and then ultimately CARRY US TO BE WITH HIM in the Heavenly realms.

I pray you can picture this God carrying you today when those joint pains flare up, when the pregnancy test shows up negative, when your loved one is ill, or when you face troubled times.

Amen sister! If we can care for our children the way we do, how much more does God the perfect parent care for us! Now that I have become a parent, I have started to understand the Father’s heart in a deeper way. He is a good, good Father.

    Thanks again for sharing.

Oh Diana, thank you for this, sweet sister. I soaked in every scripture deeply… I needed God to minister to my heart through you today. I woke up terribly ill. When this happens, I feel utterly defeated.

I will allow Him to carry me. I will trust Him to cover me with His comforting love and pour His soul quenching grace onto me.

I will be re-reading this post a few more times. It blesses me. <3

Morning Diana for some reason i happened to come across your website and thought no matter what we face Gods
always near. I have been going through a very bad patch of depression. I felt trapped but through my feelings i still remembered i have a Heavenly Father that loves me dearly and will never leave me nor forsake me. Been in Zimbabwe has also not helped. Our economic situation is not good and with Cyclone Idai that has just hit Mozambique and Zimbabwe one sometimes wonders why. Many lives were lost and many injured an many lost everything they owned. My thoughts were God wants to bring us all to our knees. He wants us to remember Him at all times and not just when we in need. Through all this many have donated food aid clothing blankets etc and one cannot be thankful enough because even through the hardship God is till in control and has lead others to give with generous hearts whether it be in food etc or just assisting to help clear the devastation left behind after the cyclone. We serve a mighty God.

Hi Mina , what a beautiful name you got 🙂 Morning to you . In the midst of the trials you have gone through I praise God for showing you His promise that He Will Carry you through .

Feeling depressed can be so painful . Something that helped me this week was simply telling you at night “ Lord I feel so tired , worn out and broken . Help me to face next day with your strength so that I can do all my responsibilities well” Nature’s wrath (Cyclone) isn’t always God’s doing because I see through your message how God kept His people safe and fed through this calamity. Jesus carries you today – Love ,Diana
