5 Powerful truths that we are the Reflection of God

Do you see yourself as a REFLECTION OF GOD ? It means we are His mirror image.
This picture was taken when my husband and I visited Kerala, India also known as God’s Own Country. The place was filled with the nature’s aroma, serenity, and was absolutely breathtaking. The reflection of the Sky/Heaven upon the water/Earth made it look as if they were united together.
This beautiful view reminded me of the Designer of the Universe who created the Heavens and the Earth. A Creator who is eternal, infinitely wise, powerful, good, and HE IS MY GOD! I am a reflection of God. What a freeing truth!
Now ,
Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
The Heavens and their host declare the Glory of God, and the Wisdom of God, the Might of God, the Greatness of God, and the Majesty of God.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,
are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in Our
image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and
over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over
every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”“
“The great God of the universe who heaped up the mountains, scooped out the oceans, and flung out the stars wants to have a relationship with you.”– Adrian Rogers
Man was made in the image of God, and nothing will satisfy man but God, in whose image he was made. Charles Spurgeon.
We have been created with a soul which means we have been given an eternal nature. Therefore, You and I are a reflection of God Our Creator. You matter !!
–Is there any doubt that says otherwise?
–Is there a voice that repeats ,”You are not worth anything?”, “You are a failure?, “You are not qualified?”
–Is there a habit that makes you feel ashamed as a Child of God?
— Have you allowed someone to make you feel rejected, broken, or abuse your body?
–Does that mirror tell you that you are ugly, or fat, short, or tall?
— Do you feel that “you are just a homemaker, or I am not going to find true love”?
Then may I remind both of us these 5 powerful truths about WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST JESUS :
1.You are a Reflection of God’s work of Redemption.
Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
Lamentations 3:58 O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life.
2.You and I are the Reflection of God’s Love.
Romans 8:37 In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
3.We are the Reflection of God’s Image.
Genesis 1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
4.We are the Reflection of God’s Glory.
Isaiah 60:2b but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
May our life be a witness and reflect God’s glory each and every day through our words, our praise, our actions, and our life here on earth.
5.We are the Reflection of Heaven on this Earth.
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Reflection :
Praise the LORD!
- Have you being seeing yourself through the eyes and reflection of God or the statements made by people?
Let no one say anything else about you except that they see the image of Jesus in you.

December 8, 2016 at 3:32 amHi Diana, thank you so much for sharing your blog. I can definitely answer “yes, all the time” to all three questions you pose above. Those truths you list are empowering and challenging at the same time. Also, in a way, I am glad I can feel all my weaknesses so that God can show me how much He can do.
