Gates and Boundaries —
Our side gates had to be taken down recently as it had corroded and was three decades old. But having those gates removed made the outside of the house vulnerable in the sense anyone could walk into our backyard, or my children could end up near the roadside.
That evening, as I was running from one room to the other after my toddlers, I noticed a man walking on the sideways with his eyes towards my house. So, obviously it caught my attention and I tried to look through the window to figure what this man was looking exactly for.
Out of nowhere, this man walks into my property and passes through the now unsecured area where the gates used to be.
You must just guess how panicked I was at that moment, yet stern while asking the man what exactly he is doing in my property.
This incident opened my eyes about the importance of BIBLICAL BOUNDARIES in our lives.
—Have you left the gate of your heart unguarded?
—Have you unknowingly or knowingly allowed toxic people to walk in and out of our life?
The Lord put it in my heart to reach out of my fellow bloggers with regards to this topic in several different areas so that you and I can be prepared always about the necessity of boundaries in our marriages, with our children, when we are dating, and even in relation to friendship.
