15 Verses and reasons why God is our home forever
“Where is your home ?” or “Where is your hometown?” is a question people often ask one one another when they meet. It could be to know your identity, your root ,or familiar family circle. We build our home with our loved ones and create memories every single day. Do you love your home and the person/ people you live with? Do you prefer to come home even after a rough day or do you want to run away from home? My post today is to remind you no matter how chaotic , broken ,or strong your earthly house looks like right now – God is our home and Heaven ultimately.
The Bible says in Psalm 90:1, NLT that Lord, through all the generations you have been our home!
A home must have a roof above , a strong foundation, and people to share our joys and sorrows.
But often time we can end up being alone because people have left and there is no one to share our hurts and happiness. As life gets busier, we have ended up compromising on God’s Word and many have abandoned their families and HOME.
The Bible is clear about the truth that God is our home. He is our refuge , our Watchman, our core foundation, the very Author of our lives, and the Only true Person with whom we can share our laughters and heartaches.
“My Home is God ” Poem
And now ” My home is God,” and shelter there,
God meets the trials of my earthly life,
God compasses me round from storm and strife,
He takes the burden of my daily care.
O Wondrous Place! O Home divinely fair!
And I, God’s little one, safe hidden there.
Lord, as I dwell in Thee and Thou in me,
So make dead to everything but Thee ;
That as I rest within my Home most fair
My soul may evermore and only see
My God in everything and everywhere
