What to do when our SCARS are more than we can handle

Memory of scars:

Ever had to deal with scars that reminded you of sad times? I have two big scars on my face, and couple on my heart from my childhood. The one on my forehead is from the Chicken pox I got on my 4th birthday and had to be in a room away from everyone to prevent spreading it to others.

The other scar is on the palm of my right hand when I tripped and fell onto a sharp rock during a vacation. I bled a lot and needed several stitches.

But there is also scar that has been lingering within the deepest chambers of my heart left by a predator when I was just a child.

The question remains, “What do we do with scars that are more that we can handle?”

Our scars they come in all sizes and shapes filled with awful memories. These scars could be those physically visible ones, or those mentally / emotionally caused invisible scars.

Some of our wounds we do not mind sharing ,but then some we had hid within our bleeding hearts.

Some of these scars may have come from being in an abusive relationship, an accident, multiple surgeries,  mishaps, from an abandoned parent, or from sexual abuses.

Who can handle our scars?

Dear Friend, today the Savior wants you to know that He has noticed your scars. He knows all about the pains you have endured silently ,the tears that you have shed profusely, and weeps along with wounded heart.

Isaiah 53:4(KJV) says, Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows

Isaiah 53:5 (NIV) says, “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by his wounds we are healed.

There is healing only in the Lord Jesus Christ, the One and Only God who took it upon Himself to carry all our griefs, heartaches, and sorrows to the Cross .

God can handle our SCARS.

DEAR FRIEND, WE ARE HEALED BY HIS WOUNDS! His nail pierced Hands and bleeding Heart will surely tell you all about His unconditional Love, and Loyalty for you.

 God can handle scars

Won’t you let Him hold all your pains, and tears, Dear Friend? For He will never push away those who seek Him earnestly.

May our scars remind us :-

1.We are survivors through Christ ,

2. We are healed by His stripes,

3. We will not be shaken by our wounds

Your scars don’t define you; for your Savior has called you beautiful and eternally loved.

Scars defined by God

Let’s Pray together :

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that thou will place Thy nail pierced Hand on our bleeding hearts and scarred bodies. For we know that Healing comes from You and You alone.

Thou will restore and transform our scars into a SONG OF DELIVERANCE. Thank you for carrying our sorrows, and choosing us. Amen!

Until we meet again here,

Christian Love,

Diana

I like the analogy of scars – they do bring memories. but they’re only scars – we are healed!

Diana, this was a beautifully written post and so refreshing to my soul. I think the pain of grief can leave some scars as well and I’d be honoured to share this on my Shining through Grief, Loss and Healing board on Pinterest.
I know for sure that no scar, no matter how great, no matter how deep, is beyond the healing power of our wonderful Saviour. I’m so grateful for that!
    Blessings to you!
