10 areas in our life God promises to Protect us
There are many areas God promises to protect us in our lives. We are also asked to be alert and sober from the enemy’s viles.
We live in world where we want others to respect our privacy and yet secretly desire for the 300 likes we may get when we post personal information and pictures on social media . It scares me that people are okay with posting every single detail of their lives including vacation spots, kids names and school info, or their regular hangout spots.
Have you noticed how easy it is to follow a complete stranger’s profile on Facebook after you are tagged by someone who have mutual friends? It is about time to decipher for ourselves what should be exposed and what should be kept private.
Ever since I became a mom, I strongly felt the need to protect my children and their identity from social media and even from those who have ill thoughts .
We must guard ourselves from the sneak Devil .
Online Predators
Online predators are waiting for a chance to pounce anyone especially innocent children(under 18 years old) who have let their guards down. Let us always pray for our children, our marriages , and our homes to be protected by predators who come in various forms.
Just the other day, I received a shocking email from my dad that my mom is undergoing surgery and will require a large sum of money. When I called my dad, I found out that his email was hacked, and the intruders retrieved important information that were saved in his Emails. They used that to convince all his contacts to see the email as legitimate.
What does God’s Word tell us about the predator ?
What a wicked world we live in, where our privacy can be violated, and misused. As much as technology is a blessing, unexpected intruders are waiting for a chance to hack and it is up to each one of us to be vigilant all the time.
1 Peter 5:8 says, : Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Here are 10 areas God promises to protect us while also asking us to be vigilant and sober as we sojourn in this treacherous world
1. Protection from entrapments and terrors :
For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day Psalm 91:3-6
2. Protection from lust :
But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, ” God opposes the proud but favors the humble.” James 4:5-8
3. Protects us from oppressors :
The wicked spies upon the righteous and seeks to kill him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand or let him be condemned when he is judged. Psalm 37:32-33
4. Protection from the punishment of sin -Jesus is the Advocate
But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2
5. Protection around our children
The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you. –Psalm 102:28
6. Protect our marriage :
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:12
7. Protection over our home :
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. Psalm 127:1
My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes in undisturbed places of rest Isaiah 32:18
8. Protector of the widows and fatherless :
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. –Psalm 68:5
9. Protection in our journey :
The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. –Psalm 121:8
10. Protection against Satan :
But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.- 2Thessalonians 3:3
Let us put our trust in the Lord who neither sleeps nor slumber, who is ever watchful and will guard us against the evil one.
May He protect your walls and homes, and punish the violators.

October 10, 2017 at 1:19 pmLove this! What a great list! I pinned and tweeted! We all need to be reassured by these but also be wise in what they are actually saying and how His protection leaves us when we make unwise choices.

October 12, 2017 at 6:45 amWhat a great post, you’ve really done your research! When we learn these and stand on them, wow! I love Psalm 91, I memorised it with a few other girls at my church and we performed it with tambourines. Have you ever heard of the Psalm 91 book written by Peggy Joyce Ruth? She takes every word of the Psalm apart and explores it. One of the most amazing faith building books I’ve read and we pray it everyday. I have an interview with her on my blog.
