God can fulfill the Longings of our heart
Have you wondered if God can fulfill the longings of our heart ? Job 6:8 Oh that my request might come to pass, And that God would grant my longing!
A deep longing to see my folks fills my heart today. It has been five years since I got to sit and joke around with my sisters, hold my precious new niece, or spend time with my parents and grandparents. The distance of 7,723 miles has made it difficult for me to visit them all when my heart longs for my family.
We love to be surrounded by close friends and family even though we seldom appreciate their constant presence in our lives, and long for their support when we get weary or alone.
PROVERBS 13:19 says , “ A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul…”
Paul in his writings to the believers from the dark prisons often wrote how he longs to see everyone. Fellowship with God’s people can indeed refresh a weary soul.
ROMANS 1:11-12, “For I long to see you …that you may be established ..that I may be encouraged.
2TIMOTHY 1:4, ” I long to see you so that I may be filled with Joy..”
Oh, the joy and encouragement to receive a call or text from our friends, and families saying, ” thinking of you as you sojourn alone, or praying for you.”
God can fulfill the longings today in HIs time if they line up with His Promises and Word.
Hold on to His Word, and cling on to His Promises for He is ever faithful, and weeps with us.
The desire is thy prayers; and if thy desire is without ceasing, thy prayer will also be without ceasing. The continuance of your longing is the continuance of your prayer. Saint Augustine
Dear friend, how is your heart feeling today?
Have you been experiencing deep longings in your heart today?
Do you long to see your folks again? Have you been waiting on the Lord to fulfil the desires of your heart regarding marriage?
Do you wake up in the middle of the night praying that the Lord will bless your womb?
Do you long to find a stable job so that you do not have to work about living paycheck to paycheck or taking out money from your savings?
Are you in a new transition in your life and wish to find a friend to simply talk?
Have you truly longed for God’s presence and spiritual encouragement from God?
Today these 8 beautiful verses lifted my soul, and I pray that it will bless you too
God can fulfill the longings of your heart
1.For He satisfieth the longing soul and fills the hungry with good things. (Psalm 107:9,KJV)
2. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (Mathew 7:7,KJV)
3. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16,KJV)
4. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. (Psalm 34:10,KJV)
5. I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food. (Psalm 132:15, NIV)
6. O Lord, all my longing is before you, and my sighing is not hidden from you. Psalm 38 :9
7. Delayed hope makes the heart ill, but fulfilled longing is a tree of life. Proverbs 13 :12
8. For we have no permanent city here, but we are longing for the city which is soon to be ours. Hebrews 13: 14
Our longings will only end when we see the face of Christ in Heaven!
God will make all things beautiful in His time. Let us wait on the Lord until then holding on to our faith in HIM.
May your heart find rest in the Lord as you patiently wait on Him to fulfill all your longings in His Time!!

May 15, 2017 at 12:01 amDiana, thank you for this lovely reminder. There are a number of things I am waiting/ longing for. I know that in God’s timing these desires will be fulfilled. The answers may not always come as I expected but I know God’s ways always turn out for the best in the end!

I am so weak and full of self centeredness which I feel every day but He is faithful and will complete His wonderful work in us. God bless you and your family today.
