God can fulfill the Longings of our heart

God can fulfill the Longings of our heart

God can fulfill the Longings of our heart

A deep longing to see my folks fills my heart today. It has been  five years since I got to sit and joke around with my sisters, hold my precious new niece, or spend time with my parents and grandparents. The distance of 7,723 miles has made it difficult for me to visit them all when my heart longs for my family.

We love to be surrounded by close friends and family even though we seldom appreciate their constant presence in our lives, and long for their support when we get weary or alone. Is your heart sorrowful today? Have you been longing for something lately? God can fulfill the Longings of your heart. I have included a 5 printable verses that blessed me lately. I pray it will bless you as well

PROVERBS 13:19 says , “ A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul…”

Paul in his writings to the believers from the dark prisons often wrote how he longs to see everyone. Fellowship with God’s people can indeed refresh a weary soul.

ROMANS 1:11-12, “For I long to see you …that you may be established ..that I may be encouraged.

2TIMOTHY 1:4, ” I long to see you so that I may be filled with Joy..”

Oh,the joy and encouragement to receive a call or text from our friends, and families saying, ” thinking of you as you sojourn alone, or praying for you.”

God will fulfill all our longings today in HIs time if they line up with His Promises and Word. Hold on to His Word, and cling on to  His Promises for He is ever faithful, and weeps with us.

About Diana

I am a daughter, sister, wife, and mom to my triplets. Each of these God given roles have shaped me to be the woman I am today. My blog is about how I have found God to be alive in me through the lessons I keep on learning each day. Through the storms and songs in the darkest hour I saw God standing with me.
Christianity is not a religion to me but a personal relationship I have with my Creator who so freely gave His life for me .
Dear Friend, I pray that you too will know this Savior who died not only for your SINS but also for all your SORROWS on the Cross. May you be found in HIM.

Philippians 3:14 (KJV) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

  3. Thank you for this Diana. I am longing for many things from the Lord but mostly I do not want to miss out on His life in me to the fullest extent and His work in the world. I am so weak and full of self centeredness which I feel every day but He is faithful and will complete His wonderful work in us. God bless you and your family today.
